The spotlight on the Gabby Petito case helped authorities find the body of another missing person.

In the same Wyoming forest where the 22-year-old Long Island woman was found dead, the remains of a Houston father of two have been uncovered.

The body of Robert “Bob” Lowery, 46, was discovered at the base of Teton Pass on Tuesday, more than a month after he left Texas to explore Jackson Hole.

An investigation into his disappearance was ongoing, according to Teton County Search and Rescue, but they had few, if any, leads.

Then Petito vanished and thousands of tips poured in about possible sightings of the missing blond in Bridger-Teton National Forest, where she was eventually found dead.

Robert “Bob” Lowery, 46, was found dead Tuesday.

“The widespread news coverage of the Gabby Petito search helped bring light to Lowery’s case, and resulted in at least two members of the public calling local authorities this past weekend with new information about his possible last seen point,” Teton County Search and Rescue said.

The tips placed Lowery on the Black Canyon Trail in Bridger-Teton National Forest, wearing a black baseball cap and carrying a black duffel bag with the Nike logo.

Volunteers split into seven teams Tuesday and combed the area before a dog team found Lowery’s body and duffle bag “significantly off trail on a steep, wooded slope.”

In total, the search teams hiked more than 75 miles and covered 22,500 feet in elevation.

“Bob has been a wonderful father, son, brother and friend,” the Lowery family said in a joint statement Tuesday.
