A 14-year-old Indiana boy who disappeared last week while walking his dog was found dead Tuesday.
Jacob McCarty was last seen Sept. 21 near his hometown of Corydon in southern Indiana, police said. His father said he left that day to walk his German shepherd, Isabella, and never returned.
As police investigated, they learned of video that showed Jacob and Isabella walking along Interstate 64, just north of Corydon, around 5 p.m. on Sept. 21, according to a Facebook post from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.
Officers searched the area and located Jacob’s body in the woods near Harrison County Hospital. Isabella was found dead next to Jacob.
Police do not suspect foul play in Jacob’s death. The Harrison County Coroner will perform an autopsy to determine his cause of death.
