“An Enemy of the People”

“Succession” star Jeremy Strong returns to the Main Stem in “An Enemy of the People” opposite television veteran Michael Imperioli, who is making his Broadway debut. In the Henrik Ibsen classic, which has been adapted by Amy Herzog, a doctor discovers something that might endanger everyone in his town. Watch as he goes face to face with the powers that be. “An Enemy of the People” is in previews at the Circle in the Square. Opening night is set for March 18.

“Legacy: An Evening with Maria Friedman and Friends”

On Monday night, “West End” favorite and director of the hit revival of “Merrily We Roll Along” Maria Friedman will perform the music of Stephen Sondheim, Marvin Hamlisch and Michel Legrand in the one night only concert titled “Legacy: An Evening with Maria Friedman and Friends.” The show will take place at The Hudson Theatre and will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, The Stephen Sondheim Foundation and The Marvin Hamlisch International Music Awards. “Hamlet” with Eddie Izzard

On the off-Broadway front, comedian and actor extraordinaire Eddie Izzard is taking on 23 characters in a new solo production of “Hamlet” — now playing at The Greenwich House Theatre. The show will move to The Orpheum Theatre beginning on March 19. For tickets, go to eddieizzardhamlet.com.

“Illinoise”

Over at The Park Avenue Armory, New York City Ballet’s Justin Peck is putting his spin on Sufjan Stevens’ celebrated 2005 concept album “Illinois.” In this theatrical event titled “Illinoise,” watch as dancers, singers and musicians take audience members on a wild journey from America’s heartland to the edges of the cosmos.
